The other night, I was snack hungry but my taste buds were having none of the crisps and pre-packaged snacks available. Thankfully, we had a little of the Magpie Cottage Dairy chèvre left so I spread it on lightly toasted baguette and adorned a couple pieces with slivers of sun-dried tomato and other slices with basil pesto and a touch of lemon zest. It is a quick and easy starter that carries more elegance than dip.
Chevre on baguette is delicious. It is especially good on toasted bread. I like your idea to combine it with basil pesto.
You are making me hungry!
